Robotics Build and Code with the VEX IQ system. The team will work on a long term project to build and code a robot to compete in the VEX IQ challenge “Next Level” The challenge consists of teamwork matches where they are randomly paired with teams from other schools. Skills challenges where they independently show their abilities in autonomous code and remote control driving. They also will have judges interviews where they describe their design process and team experience.
Students will learn everything they need for this. We will begin with junior coding exercises if required, basic structures and design, how motors work, how mechanisms work, and how to design a robot.
Starting October 7th, the team will meet once per week for 2 hrs and attend 2 events. Our teams weekly meeting will be:
12:30pm - 2:30pm every Sunday at
18021 Cowan, Irvine , CA
All events and support at the events is included except post-season and travel events if any.
Local events are usually within an hour drive but our range is from Bakersfield to San Diego. Parents are responsible for student travel to the local events.
