Rolling Robots' Competition Team "Tryout" Workshop Series

Located At: Holliston Church Dream Tree Community Center

It's not too late to sign up! Take the remaining 4 classes in our Competition Team Workshop Series at a discounted rate of $125.

Schedule: Each Monday 3:30 to 5:30pm, starts September 26th for 4 weeks

Want to join our Competition Team program but don't know how to get started? Then join us for this workshop series geared towards training the next generation of young robotics engineers as well as helping us spot new talent. These five workshops serve not only as an intensive introduction to the higher level robotics programming concepts employed by all Competition Team members, but they also serve as the pool of applicants from which we hope to pull the next 4 or 5 members of our fast-growing Pasadena team.

The first 5 weeks will function as an overview of general robotics programming in the "C" language as well as a screening process designed to help us select the best and brightest young students for our competition teams. At the end of the class, we hope to welcome the most promising students from this series to join our new VEX Robotics Competition Team, headquartered at the Pasadena Dream Center!

Join the world championship Rolling Robots teams and help to make the Pasadena Dream Center the home of some new STEM Superheroes.

Workshops are available individually each week or in a 5-class package that includes all the sessions. Each workshop is a 2 hour session comprised of one hour of “class time” in which we will teach a new concept followed by one hour of creative time in which students apply the new skills they have learned on a guided project with one-on-one help as needed.

Each workshop introduces a new stand alone concept so feel free to take the course a-la-carte as your schedule allows. Number of sessions taken will not affect your students chances of getting on the team, they will be judged only on their aptitude and interest in the subject matter from each session they attend.
